Types of Girl about the Globes – Adventure GatG, Sailing GatG, Winter Sports GatG
Specialising in cruising in Croatia for 18 to 29s, skiing in Bosnia, Turkey cruises and Bosnia tours, Go Adventures offer scheduled packages and tailor-made adventures.
Sail around Croatian islands from 4 to 8 days from June to September, or enjoy 4 to 7 days sailing in Turkey between April to October starting in either Fethiye or Olympos. You can also combine your Turkey cruise with Cappadocia to see this magical valley during your trip (or go overland instead).
Skiing in Bosnia
The Ski Sarajevo trip is 7 nights of skiing and snowboarding combined with the best of the culture and nightlife. Jahorina is Eastern Europe’s alternative ski and snowboard capital and because it’s one of the cheapest ski resorts it is affordable for budget travellers.
From April to October you can explore Bosnia from Croatia on a 7 day adventure, or visit in the winter months to ski in Jahorina and explore Sarajevo on a 7 day adventure. The tours delves into Bosnia-Herzegovina, discovering Mostar and its famous bridge, then rafting on the Neretva River before moving into Sarajevo. Visit the War Tunnel Museum, explore the mountains and the nightlife as well as wine-tasting in Trebinje near the Croatian border.
Sailing in Croatia
You can combine your Bosnia tour with a sailing in Croatia trip. Trips have a minimum of 22 passengers and you can set sail from Split to Dubrovnik or vice versa. Go Adventures usually have 4 or 5 solo travellers on each boat so you’re guaranteed to find other like-minded solos to meet and share stories with. Most of their guests are from Canada, Australia, NZ, USA, UK, Ireland, and Western Europe etc.
Many of them have travelled solo at least once in their lifetime, even if they are now in a group or couple, so they are aware of what it is like to travel solo and make solo travellers feel welcome. They do have a single supplement of 50% for a private cabin but if you’re happy to be matched up with another solo (of the same gender) then you can avoid the single supplement.
Their trips vary but usually include breakfasts, transport, a guide, and dorm accommodation with the option of upgrading to a private room. Whether you prefer a land or sea cruise, Go Adventures is a great way to explore the Croatian and Turkish coasts.
Go Adventures Reviews
“Just got back from the 4 day Split to Dubrovnik tour and it was amazing. We had a full boat of 27 plus the crew and we literally had the best time and all got on so well. The scenery is stunning, the water is crystal clear and calm and they make plenty of swim stops. I enjoyed the food, and the drinks were plentiful. They even catered to my gluten and dairy free diet. There were a lot of vegans onboard too. We had a great time all partying together every night, so I was sure my bar tab was going to be huge, but it was surprisingly manageable.
I would have spent so much more if I was at the same level on land. The crew were all very caring and kind and made sure we had so much fun. The boat was lovely and big enough for us all, and I surprisingly did not get seasick. Our Rep Vladimir was always available to answer questions and help with anything we needed. He made it easy to do excursions as well. I ended up kayaking in Mljet national park and doing the GOT walking tour In Dubrovnik. Would recommend both.
“It was easy to find the boat in Split and hard to leave it in Dubrovnik because I was having too much fun. I would do it again in a heartbeat.” – Ash Massey
