About Balmers Hostel Interlaken
Although Balmers is renown as a party hostel, it has been a family run business and is currently in it's third generation. Fabienne and Carmen Balmer manage Balmer's and as travellers themselves know the importance of feeling safe when traveling alone.
Balmers is in a typical wooden Swiss chalet and is very cosy, with many different social areas, like the games room, tv room, relax hammock room, guest kitchen, laundry room to name a few.
Interlaken as a whole is a very safe Town, (as Switzerland is actually ) there are regular buses that take you from the Town two train stations and stop right outside Balmers Hostel. When you check in they provide a free bus transportation for the whole of your stay. Even if you have to walk they are only a 15 minute walk from the centre of town and the roads are all very well lit and signed posted.
Balmers offer shared mixed, male only or female only dormitories (4,6,8 bedded) and also some smaller private rooms. All rooms are key card operated so only the people that are sleeping in your room can enter it . Safety boxes and lockers are offered at the back of the hostel.

How to Book
Prices start from € 39 for a bed in a mixed 10-bed dormitory. You may have to stay a minimum of 2 nights depending on your dates. You can also book all kinds of adrenalin activities such as canyoning, rafting, paragliding and skydiving through the hostel if you travel there in the summer.
